Phonics Booster
This intervention will help to develop your child’s understanding of phonics. The children will work for about 15 minutes in each session, recapping the sounds they know and learning to read and write new sounds. They will be encouraged to read both real and pseudo words and identify the digraphs and trigraphs within words.
Intended Outcomes:
· To ensure your child can use phonics to blend and support their reading
· To ensure your child is able to use phonics to segment words into their sounds for spelling
What can you do to help at home?
- Practise the sounds in your child’s phonic pack.
- Practise reading and writing using phonics.
